Challenge

The Carl's Jr National Growth Programme aimed to spruce up the brand through a rebranding effort, including updating signage and repainting all locations. This programme was seen as an opportunity to enhance the brand's visibility and appeal, serving as the initial step in a broader strategic brand upgrade. Facing the challenges of modernising the brand while minimising operational disruptions.

 

Approach

The programme was executed in two stages, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and minimising impact on operations (people still needed their Carl’s Jr fix). We had early and open communication with our client, just how we like it. And together with sharing designs of completed stores, we ensured all parties were aligned with the project's vision.

Sustainability was a key consideration, incorporating eco-friendly materials and LED lighting to reduce environmental impact. A brand update project such as this gives a unique opportunity to not only create a nicer work environment for staff and be more comfortable for customers but to introduce new ways of reducing their environmental impact.

As always at BPM, safety measures are placed right at the top of the list (waaaay before our team Crossfit session). Comprehensive risk management protocols were put in place to maintain safety during the renovations, achieving a zero-incident outcome across all sites. Something we’re extremely proud of.

 

Outcomes

In the completion of the Carl's Jr National Growth Programme, the brand's visual identity and appeal, particularly with its dynamic, illuminated signage have all been improved. Making it even more tempting to pop in for a burger on our drive home, after all, we’re all about balance here.

The upgrades are expected to contribute positively to the brand's surroundings. Managed through the Projectworks platform, the project's execution was streamlined for efficiency and quality control. This initiative not only sets a new standard for brand presentation in the fast-food industry but also positions Carl's Jr for future growth and expansion.

In working with Carl’s Jr and getting to know how they do things, we like to think we’re on the same wave with their ‘no short-cuts and no-compromises’ approach.
