Kia Ora, a few weeks back I was lucky enough to attend the New Zealand Property Council Awards representing BPM alongside Dan and Alex, as the two/fiftyseven office fit-out project I had been involved with was up for not one but two awards. The project achieved an Excellence award in two categories: the Commercial Office Property Award and the Green Building Property Award. Coming off this massive high I took some time to look back upon how I even ended up here and appreciate the journey travelled so far.

In 2021 we took home the gold for the ACC Workplace Safety Award and this year we were aiming for the Team Gold Award. An award that is given to a workplace that has outstanding HR and wellbeing policies. What could sound more like us?

I’m writing this blog sitting on a 7pm whakakiangi travelling back home after a day of business in Auckland. I won’t get home until nearing 9pm after catching the ‘red eye’ which means I was up at 4.20am – it’s what you might call ‘a big day’.

Meanwhile, in the back of my mind I’m making a list of all the things I still must do before I can call it a night and you know what, bring it on! I’m not tired, I’m determined.

At BPM we practically own the word “Well”. Caring about our people and their wellbeing is just another aspect of our company that sets us apart from other consultants. We show this through our actions, and our latest example of this is through our WHOOP bands.
